The Fremont series of presentations begins the formal offerings of The Institute for the Study of the Passion.  
This twelve week study overviews the meaning of the word “Passion” as it pertains to the life, work, and 
death of Jesus.  The Institute will study the ramifications of violence and religion offering positive, accessible, 
and challenging interpretation of the death of Jesus by crucifixion.  The Institute also participates in conferences 
and discussions with members of the Interfaith Community as we work in the cause of justice for peace.

respect among the peoples of the Nations.  We must discover and celebrate the interfaith love 
and respect already 
embedded in these traditions.  We will explore and celebrate the interfaith love of 
Jesus who opened his heart to all seeing in everyone the very face and presence of the divine.

dialogue concerning the Passion of Jesus.  Our twelve week series introduces Passionist Spirituality of the 
Cross, the Passion Narrative of Mark in particular, and an important exploration of the contemporary 
issues and significance for exploring the Passion texts of the Four Gospel.
